Our Happy Customers
Great job by Judy. Big Apple Organizers was easy to book online and the customer service was great. I will definitely be using this service again in the future.
It is so much more fun coming back to my apartment with its new sense of order and simplicity. I was impressed with the service. Will be using them again on my next project.
At first I was hesitant to work with and spend money on a professional organizer. It turned out that Big Apple Organizers was worth every penny.
Big Apple Organizers was strongly recommended by friends and the service has helped me keep my life in order in many ways. Monica was our organizer and she initially helped us unpack our new apartment and organize it room by room. She not only put things away, but helped us keep them there in a way that made sense!
When my wife suggested we hire someone to help get us organized, I was skeptical. I thought…”our home isn’t perfect, but we get by just fine.” I couldn’t have been more wrong. Big Apple Organizers was great!
I can’t believe how much better my space feels and looks. My portfolio materials are now safely stored, and I can actually find them quickly. I can finally find things in my linen closet and on my cosmetics shelf. Great service, I highly recommend.
Closet Organization Tips That Will Help Anyone
If you’re looking for some closet organization tips that’ll make a difference to your life, then you’ve come to the right place. In this article, we’re going to share with you some fantastic tips for making your closet easy to use, as well as making it very simple to find what you’re looking for. With this in mind, let’s head straight to the tips.
Tip 1 – Start with a clear out
If you’re like most people, then there’s always going to be certain about of ‘junk’ in your closet that you either don’t wear anymore, or just doesn’t fit you anymore (don’t worry, it happens to us all!)
If you have a lot of junk in your closet, then the best way to start is by clearing it out and starting from scratch. Once you’ve sorted through all the clothes you want to keep and the ones you don’t, perhaps you could bag up the unwanted items and give them to charity – or alternatively – you could make a few dollars by selling them on eBay.
Tip 2 – Use your levels wisely
Most closets come with a variety of shelves that have different ‘levels’. If you want to make the most of your closet, then it’s a smart idea to keep your favorite items at eye level, which means they’ll be the first thing you see when you open the door. This makes it very easy to locate just the thing you’re looking for, without wasting time with sorting through all kinds of items until you find the thing you want.
Of course, it also makes sense to put your least used items either higher up or lower down – so you still have easy access, but they aren’t taking up the prime space of eye-level shelving.
Tip 3 – Keep your shelving neat
When you’re in a hurry, it’s natural just to throw things into your shelving and worry about it later. But if this becomes a regular habit, it won’t be long before the shelving becomes cluttered and virtually unusable. With this in mind, it’s an excellent idea to ensure your shelving stays neat and tidy. Not only will this allow you to see what’s available, but it’ll also give you plenty of additional space!
The key is to make sure everything is neatly folded while still being able to see each item from the side. Then you can only pick up the folded clothes and select the item you want to wear that day.
Tip 4 – Add lighting
One of the best tricks for making a closet easier to sort through is to install a closet light. This is very useful, especially if you have a dark closet that is hard to investigate visually without having to move things. The light will make it much easier to see what’s lurking deep at the back of your closet, and it’s also cool, too!
Overall, the closet organization is a very simple process, so if you keep these tips in mind, you’re sure to have a fantastically organized closet that’s a joy to use.
Proper Office Organization Can Lead To Better Productivity and Efficiency
In any well-organized office, you will find that all the work and activity carried out in it is divided among all its personnel, and all responsibilities and duties are correctly allocated. The organization also helps in establishing a proper and formal relationship between staff members, which is decided by the responsibilities and obligations they are individually required to perform.
Good office organization needs the creation of various sections and departments. Each of them must be able to provide the required information that can assist the management to plan the future growth, establish control over all activities and provide the necessary financial services. An organized office is one in which each of its parts functions effectively so that the organization works as one and integrates all its efforts and helps to achieve the laid down objectives of its stakeholders.
The organizing of an office has to start with planning its layout. The organization will often depend on the nature of the business to be carried out. You will require the right size of premises to house all the personnel necessary for the activities of the company adequately. At times, this may come across hurdles in the form of high capital requirements, though renting premises can always be a solution. The location of the office is critical, especially in businesses where there is substantial interaction with visitors, customers, vendors and other business associates. You must take care to see that the organization also looks at premises that are in agreement with the image the company wants to give to outsiders.
Office plans can be enclosed or open plan, and this will depend on the need for confidentiality and privacy and other interaction between various sections or departments. It is not uncommon for office organization to allow for enclosed offices for top managements and open office plans for other staff. Public positions allow for smooth flow of work and reduces the need for movement. Locating people is easy, and they are just as easily supervised. You can achieve a saving in space and lighting costs. Sitting arrangements can be made aesthetic, and shared equipment is easier to place in position. Open offices can get crowded and make it difficult to carry out confidential activities.
Efficient office management and its organization also need attention to be given to document control. Correct categorization of documents makes them easy to retrieve. Computerization of an office can significantly help to carry out this task. There must be efficient and proper methods to store documents and retrieve them, either physically or digitally. Digital records must always be adequately backed up in different locations.
Proper housekeeping is essential to have an office properly organized. A discipline must be instituted, which ensures that only necessary items are left out on desktops, and all records kept away securely. Offices must have all required equipment strategically located if many persons are required to use them. Desks and chairs must be ergonomic and must suit the image the business needs to create.
The Latest Manhattan New York Travel Guide
A fantastic place that people can travel to if they would like to see one of the largest cities in the United States is Manhattan. It is one of the largest, and unique, cities on earth. Inside of New York City are five boroughs and a place called Manhattan. Of all of the five boroughs, it is the most densely populated of them all, with most of it found on Manhattan Island. It is bordered by the East, Harlem, and the Hudson River, and there are several smaller islands, along with Marble Hill, which comprise this borough today. When people think about Manhattan, it is often associated with the cultural and economic center of America. You can find many things there including United Nations headquarters, and in lower Manhattan, you can find Wall Street in the financial district. It is also home to the NASDAQ and New York Stock Exchange, the world’s two largest stock exchanges to date. It has come a long way since its original purchase from the Native Americans hundreds of years ago, something that we will now present.
How Manhattan Got Started
It all began with the Dutch colonists, those that arrived on the island, who purchased it from Native Americans for just over $1000. Today, this real estate is now some of the most expensive in the world, totaling about $3 trillion in all. What was once a beautiful island that had trees and plants, cared for by Native Americans has become a sprawling landscape of Metropolitan buildings, creating one of the most densely populated areas in the entire world. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are over 1.6 million people living there, and this can increase on the days that people work to well over twice that number. Calculating that out, it comes out to 170,000 people for every square mile, and despite only having the third largest population of all of the boroughs, second only to Queens and Brooklyn, it is due to its smaller size that these incredible numbers can be calculated.
Referring again to the origins of Manhattan, the island was inhabited by the Lenape Native Americans. Once Henry Hudson made his historic journey, a man who worked for the Dutch East India Company, the area was mapped, and Hudson came into contact with these indigenous people, staying very close to the river that bears his name. Instead of trading stocks and bonds, the primary currency in the area was the Dutch fur trading that was very popular. After the American Revolution, where Manhattan was a focal point of what was called the New York Campaign, the island was abandoned after the Battle of Fort Washington, but in later years was reclaimed.
Manhattan As It Is Today
Going into the 19 century, as immigration continue to rise from Europe, and with the development of the Brooklyn Bridge, new legislature was passed, leading to a revolution of cultural unrest, helping to pave the way for the subway system, the skyscrapers, and the financial centers that we know today. This later became what is now upper Manhattan, Midtown Manhattan, and lower Manhattan where the One World Trade Center is now seen. On top of the financial aspects of this Metropolitan community, the architecture, Central Park, and of course all of the places that tourists play a significant role in what makes this city so great.
Transportation In Manhattan
Since Manhattan is one of the many boroughs of New York That, it is connected directly to the public transport network. It is quite extensive, something that over 50% of the population actually use every day to commute to work, do their shopping, or to visit people in the area. The most popular of all of the uses the subway, considered to be the oldest public transportation system in America. It is always running, and despite it being a little overwhelming once you first start to use it, you will actually see how inefficient it actually runs. There is only one subway system that does not run through Manhattan which is called the “G” train. When people visit this area, they will find that subway tickets are going to be the most efficient manner by which they can visit the entire city, which can be purchased as a single use pass, or you can get day passes so that you can travel much more freely. It is recommended that going on the subway be limited to daytime travel as it can become speculative at night. Safety can be compromised by the mere fact that more robberies and criminal activity happen on the subways during the evening and early morning hours, however tourists would not be traveling at this time to begin with. There are also trains that you can use, with one of the longest trips being from Manhattan to Long Island. This is what most people will use if they are going to journey outside of Manhattan to one of the other four remaining boroughs, and city buses are also a valid form of transportation. According to statistics, New York City has the largest fleet of buses, not just in the United States, but in the world. They purportedly serve over 660 million people every year, stopping every two blocks. Finally, there are fairies that you can take to different islands, cruises and taxis which can get quite expensive. It’s almost $50 for flat rate fees going from the city to the airport, or if you have the money to do so, you might want to consider renting a luxury limousine.
Tourism And Sightseeing In Manhattan
If you are not working in Manhattan, and you are from out of town, your primary concern is going to be all of the wonderful places that you can go in this Metropolitan Wonderland, places that most people only see on TV. For example, you might want to consider going to some of the tallest buildings that exist in the world such as the Chrysler Building, or the Empire State Building. In fact, the Empire State Building, though shorter than the One World Trade Center, is probably the most popular tourist attraction. Many movies have been shot with this film in the background, and decades ago when King Kong was on top of it, it gained worldwide recognition. If you happen to be down on Fifth Avenue, right about 34th St., you will be able to go into this 102 story building that truly does identify the New York City skyline.
Parks And Bridges
Another place that is extremely popular is called Times Square. It is very recognizable once you arrive. It is right in the middle of Midtown Manhattan, near Seventh Avenue and Broadway, and is a place where tourists and photographers often go once they arrive. There are many things to do their such as check out the many restaurants, cafés, and bars, plus you can do quite a bit of shopping. The next stop for most people is to see the New York Public Library, which is reportedly the owner of over 50 million books and similar items. This public library is a nonprofit organization, one that is funded both privately and publicly. Bryant Park is right outside of the library, is a beautiful park that in some ways pale in comparison to Central Park, but is still a nice place to read. If you like to see bridges, you will be euphoric to check out the Brooklyn Bridge, a bridge that is over a mile in length. It is what connects the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn, going over the East River, and is considered by some to be a landmark of civil engineering, one of the first to hybrid steel wire suspensions. There have been many books written using this bridge as a focal point, and when people reference Brookland or New York, this bridge is often mentioned. It is also one of the best places to get views of the city, making it another destination that is very popular for people that come to Manhattan.
Cultural Locations And Churches
If you go to Midtown Manhattan, around Seventh Avenue, you will see Carnegie Hall, and architectural wonder constructed back in 1891. It is actually built entirely of stone, and has three separate auditoriums, a building that is influenced by the Florentine Renaissance. There is also a museum, gift shop, and there are tours that are given throughout the week. It is a sight to see, not only if you are a fan of cultural events, but of architecture that is separate from skyscrapers and other tall buildings. If you are religious, St. Patrick’s Cathedral is one of the most beautiful Roman Catholic Churches in the world. It is also in Midtown Manhattan, right off of Fifth Avenue, a structure that was completed in the 1800s. It is well-known for its neo-Gothic style which is extremely contrasted to the skyscrapers which surround this building. It is also made of stone like the Carnegie Hall, but it is only on the outside, clad in marble, and incredible piece of historical architecture. For those that would like to take a walk into history, Central Park is something that everyone should see. Nearly 900 acres in size, it is considered a national historic landmark and is one of the most films locations that can be seen in movies all over the world. There are many other things in this park that you would not expect such as a swimming pool, lakes and ponds, and of course the Central Park Zoo. There is a wildlife sanctuary, and a natural Woodland, which is perfect for people that get tired of seeing all of the buildings, and would simply like to it back to nature. One other place that you can go which is very iconic is called The Rockefeller Center that is located in midtown Manhattan. It is where the Radio City Music Hall is located, and many other attractions, a place where the Grammys and even the MTV awards have been shown. Finally, there is the Apollo Theater which is located in Harlem which is actually a neighborhood in Manhattan. It was built in the early 1900s, and was originally only designated but later admitted African-Americans. It was designed in a neoclassic style, and has a capacity of just over 1500 seats. Many legends of music have sang at this place including Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Aretha Franklin.
Other Places To Visit
There are several other places that you might want to visit which are not typical of most tourists. There is the Children’s Museum of Manhattan which is where kids of all ages can see Snoopy’s house, something that is dedicated to the cartoon strip Peanuts. If you would like to see another bridge other than the Brooklyn Bridge, the High Bridge is something else that you can see. It is able to connect people between the Bronx and Manhattan, and leads into a beautiful forest that is something that everyone should see. As you can imagine, Manhattan is also known for all of the wonderful places that you can shop. You better have a large pocket book if you’re going to go to this area because of how expensive everything actually is. Of all of the places that you can go, 5th Avenue is the most famous, possessing some of the most expensive shops and boutiques in the world. You can find all of the top selling items such as handbags and purses, even choose from Versace, Louis Vuitton, and many others. You can also go to Madison Avenue, and though it does not have the same high profile as 5th Avenue, it is a place where people love to go. So many expensive than beautiful items can be purchased, and as long as you have the credit to do so, you can take advantage of all of the unique shops that will have souvenirs and products that you simply can’t do without.
Although you could visit many places in New York City, Manhattan is definitely the first place you should stop. Whether you simply want to see the skyscrapers that are so popular, featured in many films over the decades, or you would like to go to Central Park, this is the place you should be. Whether you decide to write on the subways, take taxis, or actually get a luxury rental car to take you to the many places that tourists love to be, you really won’t have time if you were only there for a few weeks to see everything that this beautiful city has to offer. There are few places in the world that are a combination of a financial center, and also a place where you can go to see lush green parks all around. It is something that everyone should see at least once, and once you are able to get to Manhattan, you probably won’t want to leave. You can find a great discounts on round-trip tickets and hotel stays on the Internet, and if you can only stay for a week or two, it will be one of the best vacations that you will ever have getting to see this amazing city that has done so much for forming the United States as we know it today.
